The work "Memorial" represents the monument to the murdered Jews of Europe, also known as the Holocaust Monument. Sobriety and elegance will be the source of an exaltation of the senses when circulating through the corridors between the concrete slabs. These slabs have dimensions of 2.38m long and 0.95m wide, and vary in height, from 0.2m to 4.8m. According to the project, the stelae are designed to produce an uncomfortable and confusing atmosphere, the entire monument seeks to represent a supposedly ordered system that has lost contact with human reason. I use fluorescent acrylics on dark backgrounds, with an abstract expressionism based on neo-figuration. I like to give a sense of movement with my brushstrokes, palette knife strokes and action painting.

We present the artist Helena Maclean, participant in the next edition of the ARTIST EXPERIENCE fair, from 15 to 20 December at the Fundación Carlos de Amberes (Madrid). Helena Maclean repeats her participation, as she exhibited in the 1st edition ARTIST. https://youtu.be/GB9yaUj8eQs She points out that the nights of confinement have formed a symbiosis with the architecture that is shown through the lighting. The artist aims to capture the different situations in which we have all found ourselves, through the different flashes of light, depending on the continent and culture. These concepts give rise to her collection of "Urban Lights".
