Helena Maclean

Artist of Scottish descent living in Madrid. She trained at I.A.D.E Interior Design in Madrid, first, and then at the New York Film Academy.

She presented his first individual exhibition in March 2003 at the Concha Márquez Foundation, with a collection of watercolors. Since then and to date she has been exhibiting permanently in various galleries in Madrid, and in different cultural centers in Castilla-La Mancha.

In parallel, she has held various group exhibitions in Spain, of which the exhibition on “women and their influence” at the Conde Duque Barracks stood out.

In 2006 she had his first international exhibition with a group exhibition in Paris, ¨Meeting of European Painters¨. In 2008 she was part of the VIII Ibero-American Meeting of women in art with a beautiful exhibition that took place in Chiapas, Mexico. In 2011, once again, she was part of the group exhibition, “Meeting of European Painters” in Frankfurt, Germany.

It is from 2017 that she begins to exhibit at Contemporary Art Fairs such as Malaga, Berlin at BERLINER LISTE 2017.

In 2018 she participated in HYBRID ART FAIR & FESTIVAL and ART & BREAKFAST, Málaga and inaugurated her first monographic exhibition.

In 2019 she participates in DOWNTOWN CHIADO, Portugal and at the ATENEO de Tarragona.

IN 2020 she was part of the first edition of ARTIST MADRID.

In 2022, JUSTMAD will exhibit in 2023 in TORRE BLANCA (Albarracín) and in 2024 in the exhibition hall of the FACULTY OF FINE ARTS UCM, Madrid. Currently exhibiting at Lorena Aguirre Gallery, Madrid.
